Synopsis:
CEREZADE, during their concert DE SINESTESIAS Y SOLEARES, takes you with their songs, through a synesthetic journey, to reproduce some of the most polarized human emotions. This journey consists of a metaphor that tells the story of any given day: from one sunrise to the next. This metaphor represents half a life: from the first illusions (born of innocence), then passing through the first disappointments – the desire to go back to recover something forgotten -, the return to the present – in a spiritual way, then raw, intense and passionate and even tragic-, until ending in a rebirth -again with illusions, but this time protected with the reel of experience and consciousness-.
BIO:
Marcela is an artist from Madrid living in Seville.
After walking through poetry, photography and the plastic arts, he began his musical career through the flamenco guitar, an instrument and style to which he dedicated more than a decade (accompanying singers and dancers).
Over time he returned to his poetry, transforming it into song and photography into audiovisual material.
Becoming interested in new sounds, he began to delve deeper into the world of electronic timbre.
Combining his poetry, flamenco, audiovisuals and electronics, the CEREZADE project was born, manifested in the album DE SINESTESIAS Y SOLEARES.
PROJECT:
My project is called DE SINESTESIAS Y SOLEARES, which is characterized by the use of a rather crude electronic timbre complemented by vocal compositions that fluctuate between sweet and sensual, with memories of the flamenco imagery and very intimate poetry.
I present the show as a metaphorical journey through these songs. The metaphor compares a day and a half of life with a whole life: from the moment we are born, we get excited, we reflect, we fall, we cry and we get up.
I narrate a story linking one theme with another until the “reconstruction of the being”, leaving as the last idea the possibility of restoration of our mind and our emotions. Each song represents an emotional state that in turn is accompanied by certain colors.
In the staging I use:
.sound part: electronic bases that I am launching with a launchpad and a computer, a multi-effect voice pedal through which I sing
.visual part: projections that are launched with each track, each one having a range of colors that synesthetically characterizes the theme in question. A series of lights placed on the floor that merge with the projection (providing specific shades of colors).
