Josemi Castaño is a multi-instrumentalist musician born in Seville, Spain. He entered the Seville Conservatory of Music where he completed professional and advanced music studies in the clarinet specialty. He always kept alive his desire to explore the possibilities of flamenco on new instruments, and it was thus that his destiny led him to discover the magic of Flamenco Piano as a disciple of master Diego Amador, one of the greatest flamenco pianists in history.
Through the piano flamenco classes, Josemi found his true voice and artistic expression. With skill and dexterity, he has managed to fuse the essence of flamenco with his mastery of the piano keys never losing sight of the authenticity and purity of this genre.
His musical career has led him to perform on the most prestigious stages in the world, in different Operas, festivals and theaters of international renown. With each performance, he makes sure to transmit the deepest roots of flamenco, making a tour of the genre’s traditions and their masters. He has had the honor of being part of the Barcelona Flamenco Ballet, one of the most prestigious nternational flamenco-dance companies today. This opportunity for constant growth and learning has enriched his style and approach, allowing him to take the legacy of flamenco to new musical horizons.

“Flamenco Band” is the new project of Josemi Castaño. It encompasses the 3 aspects of Flamenco: singing, dancing and playing. It is committed to the inclusion of less common instruments in this genre, always maintaining purity and tradition, creating a unique experience for the entire audience.
