My life as an artist started in 2017, when I finally dedicated myself exclusively to create my own images.
Not having a background in Fine Arts, I look at images without preconceptions. William Hanna , Joseph Barbera and Tex Avery are as valuable to me as Michelangelo or Renoir.
My work is hugely inspired by ordinary images of my day to day activities. I use drawing to enhance reality with my imagination.
My mind works combining colors, fullfilling spaces and so any image is relevant for me.
I have been painting and experimenting with new processes and different media lately. Normally I tend to recycle a lot, re-using inks, papers, canvases…etc.
One of my last series came up when remains of paint and textures of my paper palette became an attractive color scheme to me.
As I normally see figurative elements on stains. Cut outs of my palette became 3D characters of mini worlds paintings that became small sets, with numerous matching possibilities. Photography of mixed media.
Technology has improved materials and processes so much, it only makes me appreciate and make use of all sorts of possibilities offered to express my intention of touching people’s imagination.
